Center School Winter Concert
The third grade concert, "A Winter Fantasy", was a selection of songs celebrating the season, which was immediately followed by real snow causing school to be closed the next day. The fourth grade concert featured Disney songs from many well known movies. The fifth grade concert began with a trio of flutists - Erika Rohrberg, Samantha Terry, and Sarah Clopeck - performing "Edelweiss" followed by the chorus singing songs from the movie "The Sound of Music". All grades showed off their musical skills which progressively got more complicated with each grade level, including singing in unison as well as two part harmonies and round singing. The concert was more than just singing. There were several narrations by students describing the upcoming pieces. There were also creative movements and dramatizations. Music Director Judy Dyer wrote in the program "a sincere thank you to the parents for your continued support and belief in the arts as an important element in the holistic education of Stow's children."
